PM Modi to meet opposition as India seeks to soothe China Clash

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will meet opposition today to discuss on China Clash which lead to the death of our 20 soldiers.

 PM Modi will meet the top opposition leaders on Friday to discuss  and try to get rid of the clash with China after they killed our 20 soldiers in hand to hand conflict in a Himalayan border region.
 

Both the countries India and China accuses each other for starting the fight this week in the Galwan Valley which is the controversial Indian-controlled Laddakh region. The fight which is going between these two powerful nations is deadliest. It was the most lethal conflict between these two nations in 45 years. China has not mentioned any about any loss or sufferings.

Rajnath Singh, India's Defence Minister talked  to the heads of various political parties on Thursday to maintain harmony on the harsh situation.

PM Modi will host the more than a dozen of opposition parties leaders through a virtual meeting which is scheduled at 5pm (11:30 GMT) on Friday.

There are some of the political who are not invited to this meeting and they showed anger on the government for this. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bihar state-based Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) are the two political parties who are not invited.

Congress party mentioned that the country need to know the truth and also added that for this conflict, there is a need of strong leadership who is willing to do anything to make before it's land to be grabbed. This was the statement from the main oppstion party of India that is congres party.

 Doubt on Wars, Says Specialists

Experts are saying that these two powerful nations are not heading towards war but the tension at border can make it difficult to hold. China said that they are communicating with each other through military and diplomatic channels, emphasized the importance of their broader relationship. 

India's foreign ministry spokesman Anurag Srivastava also said that India's  Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will participate in a trilateral virtual meeting with Russia and China in next week.

As this Himalayan clash arises, the anti-chinese sentiments in india increases. This sentiments were high earlier also due to Corona virus pandemic which start in China in last year.

The emotions were in the eyes of nation when they heard about Colonel B Santosh Babu,  killed in Monday's clash.

An Indian business league  called for a boycott of 500 Chinese goods which includes toys and textiles.This is to be done to show "strong criticism" of China's action in Ladakh.

'China will never be friendly'

Taylor Fravel, who is director of the Security Studies programme at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology said that  China was trying to impose pressure on India, and he did not think Beijing desired a violent clash between their armies.

From a strategic perspective, Fravel also said from a strategic perspective that China should wnat to start a wedge between India and US to prevent any sort of counter balance coalition.

He also added that the deaths and the clash on Monday will give a chance for india nad U.S closeness which definately China doesn't want. 


G Parthasarathy, who is a retired Indian diplomat, said both China and Pakistan  another agressive neighbour of India's - were aiming at low-cost containment of India. "China has a obsession against India and its civilisation. He also said that it is very tough for us to believe China will be a friendly neighbour. 

China, India direct to reduce tensions after deadly border clash

The clash between the two nation increased in early May,when the Indian officials said that Chinese soldiers crossed the border in three places and started to erect tents and guard posts and ignored the warnings to leave.

This lead to increase in shouting and stone throwing and fist fight from the opposite sides which was replayed on Tv news and social media.

Reports:China frees 10 Indian Jawans


Indian security officials said that the 20 deaths were caused by deadly injuries and vulnerable to sub-freezing temperatures.

On Friday, Indian media reports said that China has freed 10 Indian jawans who were seized in the clash .This has happened by several talks between these two nations. 

The Press Trust of India news agency and other media reported that 10 Indian soldiers were freed on late Thursday.However, The Indian officials, have denied that any Indian soldiers were in Chinese custody.

The Indian army on On Thursday Indian army said that that 76 of its soldiers were hospitalised with injuries in which 56 will be ready next week to join work.

China and India both claim each other of land occupying.

China affirms that around 90,000 square kilometres of territory in India's northeast is occupied by India.
India says China occupies 38,000 square kilometres  of its territory in the Aksai Chin Plateau located in the Himalayas, a adjacent part of the Ladakh region.

India has already declared Ladakh a Union territory while dispatching it from  Kashmir in August 2019. China was among those countries who seriously condemn India's this decision and raised it at UN Security Council. source
