COVID-19: UAE begins initiative to get back 200,000 people .Those ashored abroad must still apply for permission to return

 Abu Dhabi: As the pandemic hitting worldwide ,there is tons of residents were in outside the country. Now UAE Federal Authority has initiated the program to take back their residents from different part of the World.

The UAE aims at bringing back their 200,000 valid UAE visa holders.

In a recent tweet, the authority said  that, “The UAE has launched an initiative to return residents who have valid visas will be allowed to return to their place.

Foreign Affairs Ministry and  International  cooperation said in their recent tweet that  they are targeting to return around 200,000 people.

As the website of the Federal Authority For Identity and Citizenship (ICA) is saying that those residents who have valid recidencies will get the returning to UAE.

As residents are in hurry to register at the  ' Residents Entry Permit' service at the authority website , smartservices.ica.gov.ae, .People are facing huge problems in registering due to the the large number of people are doing , so the website is slow down.

The UAE is eager to ease the procedures for valid UAE residency holders  who are stuck outside the country will soon get reunite with their families as they were affected due to the precautionary measures taken by the authority  regarding Covid -19, the ministry and the authority said in a joint statement on WAM last month.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority said on Thursday, that   around 31,000 residents have already returned to the UAE between March 25 to June 8.

NCEMA said that,the COVID-19 measures will be taken for travellers as they arrive to UAE and they all will be quarantine for 14 days for the safety.And the travellers are also advised to use one of the special app for checking their helath status for the safety.

As they get the approval after registering, the individual will be able to complete the booking of a return ticket on the national carriers or other airlines who operate flights to the UAE, as soon as the email is received  Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, NCEMA said.
